My name is Tony and I have been carving speciality pumpkins since 2005. I got started one year after seeing the likeness of announcers on a show during Halloween. I was intrigued with how they were able to get the likeness of someone on a pumpkin. So I spent a few months trying to figure out this technique and what you see here is the end result. I don't claim to be the best, or most knowledgeable. I just carve because its something that I like to do and seeing the look on someones face when I bring them a kin and light it up for them the first time makes it all worth while. I would like to thank all of my friends and family that encouraged me to create a site to display my "kins".
The Pumpkins (kins)
I carve exclusively on craft pumpkins, this allows me the freedom to carve all year round, and kins will last forever if taken care of properly. I have the very first craft pumpkin I carved back in 2005 and it still looks just like it did the day it was finished. Besides, I hate spending all that time on a kin just to have it rot and fall apart in a couple weeks. But to each his/her own. The techniques I use can be used on real pumpkins too. Please feel free to look around, like I said, I carve all year round so I will post pictures of my new kins as I get them carved and photographed. I hope you enjoy!!
